Pursue your Passion: Often due to the financial demands and responsibilities, women are forced to take up any job that pays well. But the result is burnout. When we do any activities that don't align with our values, passion or gives us joy, it can take a toll on our well-being and sleep. The key to achieve success and wealth is doing what you love or you can work full-time and pursue your passion on the side.
Learn to Multiply Money and Financial Planning: Nowadays there is so much information available for us currently to understand the nuances of financial planning and freedom. If required, hire a financial planner and sort the risks before investing. Investing the right way, the right amount of money and for the right period of time can lead to a better financial future.
Manage Emotions in Decisions: Often we are faced with stressful situations and emotions tend to affect the way we perceive these situations. Always remember to postpone any decisions if you are feeling overwhelmed or anxious. Have a neutral discussion with peers or family members before making any decisions.
Thought Tracking: When it comes to sleep, thoughts are our enemy which keeps us up at night. A common activity to understand and manage negative thoughts is by tracking them. You can track by writing down your thoughts everyday and finding the emotion behind. For example, I feel I will mess up tomorrow's meeting and the emotion is fear. This would bring awareness and compassion.
Restructure Thoughts: Later, when you have finished writing your thoughts and emotion, question its validity. Always evaluate the effectiveness of the thoughts, possibility of its occurrence and find alternate positive thoughts. For example, instead of saying, ‘I feel I will mess up tomorrow's meeting’. You can restructure your thoughts to ‘What I feel is normal jitters before an important meeting, I can do well if I calm myself down by meditating or through breathing exercises’. This way you can conquer these thoughts and get a better sleep.
